1 Who We Are
TillNex is a point-of-sale application developed and operated by MistNex Dynamics, a technology company based in Zimbabwe. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to MistNex Dynamics. Our contact email for privacy matters is support@mistnex.co.zw.
2 Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Business name, email address, and phone number (registration)
- Products, categories, and pricing information
- Sales transactions and payment method details
- Shift opening/closing floats and expenses
- Customer and supplier contact information (Wallet feature)
- Credit and debt records you create
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Usage logs and error reports (for debugging and improvement)
- Approximate location (country-level, for regional pricing only)
- Session identifiers used to maintain your login
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or store payment card numbers or PIN codes.
- We do not access your phone contacts, camera, or microphone.
- We do not track your precise GPS location.
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the TillNex service
- To process your subscription and manage your account
- To sync your data across your devices
- To generate sales reports and summaries for your business
- To send important service notices (e.g., subscription expiry reminders)
- To improve the App and fix bugs based on anonymised usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations under the laws of Zimbabwe
We do not use your business data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
4 Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party services (e.g., cloud hosting) to store and process data on our behalf. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities in Zimbabwe.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.
5 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Access-key-based authentication for API access
- JWT token authentication with automatic expiry
- Restricted administrative access to production databases
While we take security seriously, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong credentials and report any suspected security issues to support@mistnex.co.zw.
6 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion:
- Your business data (products, sales, contacts) is permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
- Transaction logs and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Zimbabwean tax and financial regulations.
- Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
7 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal and business data:

8 Children's Privacy
TillNex is intended for use by business owners and their staff. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9 Local Data Storage
TillNex stores a local copy of your business data on your device using an encrypted local database. This enables offline functionality. This local data is used solely to operate the App and is not accessible to third parties. You can clear this local data by uninstalling the App.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Continued use of TillNex after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
